Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea with Honey

 








Ingredients


4 cups water


2 green tea bags (or loose-leaf green tea)


1-inch piece fresh ginger (sliced)


2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)


Juice of 1 lemon


Ice cubes


Lemon slices & mint (for garnish, optional)



Instructions


1. Boil Water:


Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, then remove from heat.




2. Steep the Tea & Ginger:


Add green tea bags and sliced ginger to the hot water.


Let steep for 5 minutes (longer for a stronger flavor).




3. Sweeten the Tea:


Remove tea bags and strain out the ginger.


Stir in honey while the tea is still warm.




4. Add Lemon & Chill:


Once slightly cooled, stir in the lemon juice.


Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.




5. Serve:


Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the chilled tea.


Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint if desired.
