Scrambled Eggs on Toast
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (white or whole grain, toasted)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk or cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
Instructions:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl, add milk or cream, a pinch of salt, and whisk until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick pan over low to medium heat, add butter, and let it melt gently.
- Pour in the egg mixture and stir slowly with a spatula, scraping the sides and bottom as the eggs begin to set.
- Cook until the eggs are creamy and slightly runny (they will continue cooking from residual heat).
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown and place them on a plate.
- Spoon the scrambled eggs onto the toast.
- Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper on top and serve immediately.
