🥔 Potato Meat Nests
Ingredients
For the Potato Base:
- 5–6 medium potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- Fresh dill (or parsley), chopped
- Salt & pepper
For the Filling:
- 300 g ground beef (or chicken/turkey)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot + 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste (or sauce)
- Olive oil for frying
- Salt, pepper, paprika, oregano
For Topping:
- Grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Instructions

Boil & Mash
- Cook potatoes, mash smooth.
- Mix with butter, egg, dill, salt, pepper.
- Shape into round nests with a hollow center.

Cook Filling
- Sauté onion, carrot, bell pepper in oil.
- Add ground meat, cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste + spices.

Assemble
- Fill potato nests with meat mixture.
- Sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake
- Place on tray with parchment paper.
- Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 20 minutes, until golden.
