🍰 Cream Custard Cake
Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cream Filling:
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g butter (soft)
For Topping:
- Powdered sugar
Instructions

Make the Cake
- Beat eggs + sugar until fluffy.
- Add milk, oil, vanilla, then sift in flour + baking powder.
- Pour into a greased rectangular baking pan.
- Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Let cool, then slice cake into 2 layers.

Prepare the Cream
- In a saucepan, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, flour, and yolks.
- Cook on medium heat until thick.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla + butter until smooth.
- Let cool completely.

Assemble
- Spread cream evenly on the bottom cake layer.
- Place the second cake layer on top.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Finish
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
