SOFT MILK BUNS / DINNER ROLLS
INGREDIENTS:
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
FOR BRUSHING:
- 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Butter (to brush after baking)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
- Add warm milk, warm water, and egg. Mix well.
- Add softened butter and knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Divide the dough into equal balls and place in a greased dish.
- Let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds (optional).
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with butter while warm. Let cool slightly and serve!
