SOFT DINNER ROLLS
INGREDIENTS
- 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
- ¼ cup (50g) sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
Optional: 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing after baking
INSTRUCTIONS

MAKE THE DOUGH
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Add egg, butter, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8–10 minutes (or 5–6 with a mixer). -
FIRST RISE
Place dough in greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 to 1½ hours until doubled. -
SHAPE THE ROLLS
Punch down dough. Divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls.
Place on greased or lined baking tray. -
SECOND RISE
Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes until puffy. -
BAKE
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown. -
FINISH
Brush with melted butter while warm.
