Heaven on Earth Cake is a dreamy, no-bake dessert made with angel food cake, pudding, cherries, and whipped topping—light, creamy, and addictive!
Ingredients:
- 1 (14 oz) store-bought or homemade angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1½ cups cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling (or any fruit pie filling you like)
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- Optional: sliced almonds or white chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare pudding layer:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until smooth and thick. Set aside. -
Layer the cake:
Place half of the cubed angel food cake in a 9x13-inch dish. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes. -
Add pudding:
Spread all the pudding mixture over the layer evenly. -
Second cake layer:
Add the remaining cake cubes on top of the pudding, followed by the remaining cherry pie filling. -
Top it off:
Spread the whipped topping over everything. Smooth it out and garnish with almonds or white chocolate if desired. -
Chill:
