Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels

 








Here's a simple and delicious Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4–6 slices of deli ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère work well)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water (to mix with the egg)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth it out.

  3. Spread Dijon mustard (if using) evenly over the pastry.

  4. Layer ham slices evenly over the surface.

  5. Sprinkle cheese generously on top of the ham.

  6. Roll the pastry tightly from one long side to the other, like a jelly roll.

  7. Slice the roll into about 12 even pinwheels.

  8. Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up, spaced slightly apart.

  9. Make egg wash by whisking together the egg and milk or water. Brush lightly over the tops of the pinwheels.

  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  11. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
