Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cake (No Oven)
Soft, moist, and delicious—made with simple ingredients!
Ingredients:
1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
½ cup sugar (or honey for a healthier option)
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat for a denser cake)
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
1 egg (or ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce for egg-free)
A pinch of salt
---
Stovetop Method (Pan or Pot Cooking)
1. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, mix yogurt, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add oil and stir well.
2. Dry ingredients: Sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix gently until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
3. Grease the pan: Lightly grease a deep non-stick pan or a thick-bottomed pot. Pour the batter in.
4. Cook on low heat: Cover the pan with a tight lid and cook on the lowest flame for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
5. Cool & serve: Let it cool for 10 minutes, then slice and enjoy!

No-Bake Method (Steaming)
1. Prepare the batter (same as above).
2. Steam: Pour batter into a greased heatproof dish, cover with foil, and place in a steaming pot.
3. Cook for 40-45 minutes on medium heat. Check doneness with a toothpick.
4. Let cool, then serve.
