Instructions:

Super Soft Japanese Milk Bread

1 tbsp instant yeast ๐Ÿž


½ cup warm milk ๐Ÿฅ›


¼ cup heavy cream ๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿ’›


1 egg ๐Ÿฅš


2 tbsp butter ๐Ÿงˆ (softened)



For the Tangzhong (Secret to Softness! ๐Ÿ’ก)


3 tbsp bread flour ๐ŸŒพ


½ cup water ๐Ÿ’ง


¼ cup milk ๐Ÿฅ›



Instructions:


1️⃣ Make the Tangzhong:


In a saucepan, whisk flour, water, and milk over low heat ๐Ÿ”ฅ.


Stir constantly until it thickens into a pudding-like paste ๐Ÿฎ.


Let it cool completely.



2️⃣ Mix the Dough:


In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.


Add the cooled Tangzhong, warm milk, cream, and egg ๐Ÿฅš.


Mix until a sticky dough forms.



3️⃣ Knead & Rise:


Knead for 10 minutes until smooth ๐Ÿ’ช.


Add butter ๐Ÿงˆ and knead until fully incorporated.


Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size ⏳.



4️⃣ Shape & Bake:


Punch down the dough ✊.

Instructions


1️⃣ Prepare the Eggplant:


Sprinkle salt over eggplant slices and let sit for 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.


Pat dry, brush with olive oil, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes until tender.



2️⃣ Cook the Meat Sauce:


Sautรฉ onion and garlic in olive oil until fragrant.


Add ground beef/lamb, cook until browned.
