🍗 HOMEMADE KFC CHICKEN IN THE OVEN
YOU WILL NEED:
- 8 CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS OR THIGHS
- 1 CUP BUTTERMILK
- 1 ½ CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
- 1 TSP PAPRIKA
- SALT & PEPPER (TO TASTE)
- OPTIONAL: GARLIC POWDER, ONION POWDER, CAYENNE, OREGANO
DIRECTIONS:

MARINATE
PLACE CHICKEN IN A BOWL. COVER WITH BUTTERMILK.
LET SIT 1 HOUR (OR OVERNIGHT). -
MIX COATING
IN A BOWL, COMBINE FLOUR, PAPRIKA, SALT, PEPPER, AND SPICES. -
COAT CHICKEN
REMOVE CHICKEN FROM BUTTERMILK.
DIP IN FLOUR MIXTURE UNTIL WELL COATED.
(FOR EXTRA CRUNCH: DIP BACK IN BUTTERMILK, THEN AGAIN IN FLOUR.) -
BAKE
PREHEAT OVEN TO 400°F (200°C).
PLACE CHICKEN ON BAKING SHEET OR RACK.
SPRAY LIGHTLY WITH COOKING OIL.
BAKE 35–45 MINUTES, TURNING ONCE, UNTIL GOLDEN & COOKED THROUGH. -
SERVE
ENJOY CRISPY, OVEN-BAKED “KFC STYLE” CHICKEN!
