π Cinnamon Roll Apple “Lasagna”
Sweet, gooey, and perfect for dessert or brunch!
π Ingredients:
- 4 cups peeled, diced apples (≈ 4 medium apples)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce (for drizzling)
π₯ Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine:
- Apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Cook on medium heat until apples are tender and sauce thickens (5–7 minutes).
- Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters.
- In a greased 9x9 baking dish, layer:
- Half of the cinnamon roll pieces,
- Then half of the apple mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly.
- Drizzle with icing from cinnamon rolls and caramel sauce.
