Sausage and Cream Cheese-filled Baked Pastries

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green onions or chives
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.

  3. Mix filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and optional green onions and shredded cheese. Mix until well combined.
