HOMEMADE KFC CHICKEN RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 10 pieces of chicken (thighs and legs with skin)
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 5 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper (optional)
- Oil for deep frying
DIRECTIONS

MARINATE THE CHICKEN
Mix eggs, mustard, evaporated milk, salt, pepper, and half the spices.
Add chicken. Marinate for at least 2 hours (or overnight). -
MAKE THE COATING
In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and remaining spices. -
COAT THE CHICKEN
Remove chicken from marinade. Dredge in the flour mix.
Press flour on well to coat thoroughly. -
DOUBLE COAT FOR EXTRA CRUNCH (OPTIONAL)
Dip chicken again in the egg mixture, then coat again in flour mix. -
FRY THE CHICKEN
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry chicken in batches for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy. -
DRAIN AND SERVE
Place on paper towels to drain. Serve hot and enjoy!
