Here's a quick and easy savory pancake recipe that's great for breakfast, lunch, or a snack:

Easy Savory Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions or herbs (parsley, cilantro)
  • Optional: chopped cooked veggies (spinach, bell pepper, corn, etc.) or ham/bacon bits
  • Oil or butter for cooking

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg together.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed (lumps are fine).
  4. Fold in cheese, green onions, and any other optional fillings.
  5. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake.
  6. Cook 2–3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream, yogurt, chutney, or hot sauce.
