Crispy Cheese Tater Tots
Ingredients:
- 3 cups grated potatoes (parboiled or raw and squeezed dry)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella for extra melt)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (or use an air fryer)

Prep the potatoes:
If using raw potatoes, peel, grate, and squeeze out excess water using a clean towel or cheesecloth. -
Mix it up:
In a bowl, combine grated potatoes, cheese, flour (or breadcrumbs), egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until it holds together. -
Shape the tots:
Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture and shape into small cylinders (tater tot shape). -
Cook:
- Deep Fry: Heat oil and fry tots in batches until golden and crispy.
