Milk Bread

 










Ingredients 🛒


2 ½ cups all-purpose flour 🌾


3 tbsp sugar 🍚


1 tsp salt 🧂


2 tsp instant yeast 🍞


½ cup warm milk 🥛


¼ cup heavy cream 🍶


1 egg 🥚


2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened) 🧈


1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash) 🥄



Instructions 👩‍🍳


1️⃣ Prepare the dough: Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Add warm milk, heavy cream, and egg. Mix until combined.


2️⃣ Knead: Add butter and knead for 10-12 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.


3️⃣ First rise ⏳: Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.


4️⃣ Shape: Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll each into an oval, fold, and place in a greased loaf pan.


5️⃣ Second rise ⏳: Cover and let rise for another 45 minutes.


6️⃣ Egg wash & bake: Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.


7️⃣ Enjoy! Let cool slightly, then pull apart and enjoy the fluffy goodness! 😋🥖
