Baked Milk Custard

 









Ingredients ๐Ÿ“


2 cups milk ๐Ÿฅ›


3 eggs ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿฅš


1/2 cup sweetener (sugar-free option: erythritol) ๐Ÿฏ


1 tsp vanilla extract ๐ŸŒฟ


A pinch of salt ๐Ÿง‚


Ground cinnamon or nutmeg for topping ๐Ÿ‚



Instructions ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ


1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

2️⃣ In a bowl, whisk eggs, sweetener, vanilla, and salt together until smooth ๐Ÿฅ„.

3️⃣ Heat the milk in a saucepan until warm but not boiling ๐ŸŒก️.

4️⃣ Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly ๐Ÿ”„.

5️⃣ Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish ๐Ÿบ.

6️⃣ Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top ๐ŸŒŸ.

7️⃣ Place the dish in a larger pan filled with hot water (water bath) ♨️.

8️⃣ Bake for 45 minutes or until set. A knife should come out clean ๐Ÿ”ช.
