Ingredients

  • 250g (8 oz) noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 300g (10 oz) ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water (if needed)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Noodles
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Beef
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.

Step 3: Add Aromatics
Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 4: Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili flakes, and black pepper.

Step 5: Combine Everything
Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and stir well. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 6: Add the Noodles
Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together until the noodles are fully coated in the sticky sauce. Add a little water if needed to loosen the sauce.

Step 7: Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
